Yes, it is a tier 1 college. For Maharashtra state and Mumbai being the financial capital, there is no college other than IIT Bombay that's better. It is deemed as the central institute and all the civil road surveys conducted by the municipality and government go through VJTI. For the past 20, CET toppers have chosen this college. It lags in comparison to colleges across India because of lack of funding and mismanagement. I graduated from the college and other than the students, the teaching and infrastructure is sub par. Legacy and alumni keep the college name going.

Yes, Aerospace engineering is available in IIT Hyderabad. For admission to IIT, you have to clear JEE Advanced examination. For admission in aerospace engineering you can also go for Chandigarh University, Mohali. Hello Vishal, admissions in college of engineering Pune are given based on the performance in the entrance exam conducted by the Maharashtra government called MHT CET. For XII class, you need only obtain minimum passing score and admission is actually not based on marks obtained in this examination. Few seats are reserved for what is called as all India quota, which are filled up based on JEE Mains examination.
