B Tech IT programme of LPU produces graduates with broad understanding of Information Technology through robust curriculum and hands-on learning in niche technologies to develop competence which caters to the requirements of the industry. It primarily deals using, maintaining and improving computer systems with strong focus on courses related to technologies to solve business processes. To enable the students to keep pace with changing technological advances, the university has industrial tie-ups with various industries. Studying these courses as a part of the curriculum would provide a WILD CARD entry to industry. A set of 4 to 6 elective courses in engineering to enhance competency in the technical and/or emerging domain. To become a lecturer, one has to apply, appear and crack NET exam after post-graduation degree with required eligibility.
NET: National Eligibility Test conducted by UGC twice every year. One in June and another in December every year for the selection of lectureship and award to JRF (Junior Research Fellowship).
The eligible candidate must be an Indian National and have scored 55% marks (50% for SC/ ST candidates) in any stream from a recognized university. There is no upper age limit for those applying for lectureship, but those applying for JRF should be within the age of 28 years.
