Dear David, At LPU, Admission in any programme depends on qualifying the Eligibility criteria for that programme. So, as per the official website of LPU, the Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam) is defined as - Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics Mathematics and English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. Until 2015, it was possible to take direct admission in most of the private engineering colleges in India without appearing for any entrance examination. However, 2016 onwards, Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD) has made it mandatory to have a valid score in the respective entrance examination for every student, regardless of whether you take admission via counseling or direct admission.

No, ISRO doesn't recruit through GATE. It has a centralised recruitment Board. If a candidate is looking for opportunities in ISRO, then he/she has to keep an eye on the job vacancies there. However, GATE preparation is enough for the ISRO examination.

Yes, you can, if you're determined to crack IIT in one year. It is recommended that you can join a good IIT coaching institute as well. They will help you to understand the concept better. They also take periodic tests, which help you analyze how much are you prepared and how much more effort you need to put. As per AICTE norms graduation percentage has to be 50 % or above. So, for IMT Hyderabad, I'm afraid you are not eligible.
