Hi,
Both are well known options more among the working professionals but hold different perspectives. SAS is more required to create statistical reports and analysis where as SAP is an application implemented on several processes in the organization for the smooth functioning of the same with other activities.

Vipul, for clearing IES you should have good grip in your engineering students. So start getting good grip on it by strengthening your basics. Do end of chapter problems. See the IES syllabus, see which subjects are already coverred in your course curriculum and prepare them 1st. This also gives you enough confidence in your preparation.

Arush- It depends on your own interest. Both the fields are having great scope but of course in different directions.
