There are quite a few colleges in Mumbai which offers fashion designing courses:
1 - NIFT Mumbai: National institute of designing is a government college. It's the second the best college for fashion designing after NIFT, New Delhi. It offers a Bachelor's of design degree. It's a four years course. They provide excellent quality education and good career opportunities. Their course curriculum is same as of FIT New York. The eligibility for this course is: 12th with a minimum percentage of 55 in any stream. And must be under the age of 23, and the age limit is relaxed by five years for schedule caste, schedule tribe and differently disabled people.
2 - PEARL ACADEMY: It's a private college and is second the best in Mumbai after NIFT. The Academy is the first fashion Academy in India to get the prestigious ISO 9001: 2008 Certification, which is a testimony to the fact that its quality standards are at par with the best in the world.
