I don't think so. There are no phases in the counseling to begin with. You get slot depending on your rank, could be either on the first day or the second day or the third and so on. Also, you do get a refund of the amount you paid during the counseling. Depending on your 12th Physics, Chemistry and Math GPA, you would be allotted a campus, say if you get 65% above you'd be allowed to choose the main campus and after that, when you go to the campus and register yourself in the desired branch, they make you fill a form which compels you to pay the entire tuition fees if you plan on dropping out of the college in the mid. Do pay attention to that form. Good luck.

As far as your Boards ICSE or CBSE are concerned, then you should refer to your books provided By your School and other textbooks which have the past solved question papers or workbook which have slightly tougher questions than the other.

Its great. Placements are good. Teachers and Labs are good. Extra certifications courses are also available. Workshops are also conducted. Only thing- Will that good be good enough to what you demand? It can be only answered when you join Karunya. But, CSE is the best among all other branches here. (Maybe, I am biased but that's it. )
Usually, people get confused about service based companies and product based companies. Majority of the companies that come to Karunya are service based and they take a lot of people ex: companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, etc. They out source the students for various projects or sometimes can be deployed for the internal projects after successful completion of the training. Where as in a product based companies that come to Karunya is hardly 10%, which is quiet low. Karunyans are known for their English communication skills as said by many recruiters whom I had long conversations with. They claim that Karunyas are best suited for BPO related jobs than the development related jobs (Many not be all the students but majority). .
