State Eligibility Test is conducted in three papers and paper I is common for candidates belonging to all groups and paper II and III is conducted on the basis of the Masters' degree in which the candidate has completed.
Under paper I, subjects like teaching aptitude, research aptitude, reading comprehension, reasoning inclusive of mathematical reasoning, communication, logical reasoning are covered to test the capability of the candidates. Some of the tips for preparing for the examination are given below:
1) It is better to practice with the previous year and sample papers. When practicing with the model question papers you can follow the tips given below:
*Carefully study the questions and assess the choices given in the multiple choices. Select the correct choice by using your reasoning ability. If you practice the reasoning ability in the model papers, you will be able to do well in the examination.
*When preparing for the reading comprehension part, do not assume any information, but use the information given in the paragraph alone.
2) Always begin with the topic in which you feel yourself comfortable during the process of preparation.

American universities do not award or recognize the MBBS.
In the US medical studies are only done at the graduate level. Undergraduate students complete BS degrees in chemistry, biochemsitry, biology or other science related fields, then take a difficult examination, the MCAT, and apply for admission to Medical schools that require four years of graduate study and award the MD or DO degree. Admission to med school is very competitive - you must have a 3.6 / 4.0 or better average in a series of difficult science courses to be admitted. Also, there are very few scholarships for medical students, so most students must pay the fees, which can be $50,000 USD per year or more for each of the four years.
