American universities do not award or recognize the MBBS.
In the US medical studies are only done at the graduate level. The minimum qualification for appearing in MAT is graduation in any discipline from any recognized University or equivalent recognized degree. In my opinion for getting a job for a teacher in engineering colleges minimum qualification is M.Tech. Usually Phd will get more weightage.
