The minimum eligibility to apply is that candidate should have a minimum pass mark of 60% in class 12th with mandatory subjects like mathematics, physics, chemistry, and statistics.
The aggregate calculated is for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Statistics put together. A candidate must have studied English along with the mandatory subjects at 10+2 level. A candidate has to appear for Tezpur University Entrance Examination (TUEE). Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of marks scored in TUEE and the academics. Admission is done through state-level counselling for filling 85% of total seats and remaining 15% seats will be filled through All India centralized counselling based on the rank obtained in NEET.
Along with qualifying in the NEET, a candidate should also need a minimum of 50% in class 12th exams with mandatory subjects like Physics, Chemistry, English and Biology/ Biotechnology.

1) Pretty good infrastructure compared to other colleges and universities in the North East as well as rest of India.
2) Nice location and good environment for studies.
3) Lot of activities apart from classes (music, dance, drama, quiz, debate, etc).
4) Very nice festivals organised by students at periodic intervals every year.
5) The faculty in some departments are quite good and well known in their respective fields.
6) The scope of learning different things abound if a student expresses his willingness in a proper manner.
