Minimum Eligibility to Apply is a pass mark of 60% in class 12th with mandatory subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Candidate must have secured minimum marks in aggregate of mandatory subjects.
The course is taught in English, so students will need to be proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.
For students who have passed their qualifying exam in a medium other than English, valid TOEFL/ IELTS score is mandatory. In absence of TOEFL/ IELTS score, students will be required to do a bridge course in English.
Admission is based on the rank obtained in JEE Mains.
For vacant seats and overseas students, the merit is prepared on the basis of marks in the qualifying exam.
Final Selection will be made on the basis of the personal interview to judge the suitability of the candidate for the program.

Minimum Eligibility to Apply for B.Sc. Physics at St. Xavier's Kolkata is 60% pass marks in class 12th with Mandatory Subjects: Physics and Mathematics.
An aggregate of Physics & Mathematics + 2 core subjects would be considered for eligibility calculations. Students must have obtained a minimum of 45% in 2 core subjects and 60% in Physics. Following subjects would not be considered as a core subject for aggregate calculation: Agriculture, Dance, Entrepreneurship, Environmental Science/Studies, Fashion Designing/Studies, Heritage Craft, Home Science, Physical Education, Painting and Socially Useful Productive Work (SUPW). Students who have 3 years and above gap between 10th and +2 are not eligible to apply. Which would be considered for aggregate calculations. Admission is based on marks obtained in 10+2.
