Skills Required to become a Mass Comm Specialist:
The most basic skill required in the field of mass communication is good communication and writing ability. However, you can work on this ability and improve your skills. How much time you take to develop this skill depends completely on you. Candidates must have a flair for the language in which they wish to pursue mass communication programmes. Graduates in this field must have the ability to network and create media contacts in order to get the latest insights. Ability to work in rough conditions and under pressure is another necessary requirement.

No portfolio is required at time of admission to get into a BA in mass media and communication course. The basic selection criteria is mentioned below:
Admission to most of the top mass communication colleges is done on the basis of merit in class 12th board exams. Some of the popular universities including KIIT University, BHU and GGSIPU conduct entrance exams for admission to mass communication courses. Colleges may also conduct group discussions as well as personal interviews to assess the communication skills of candidates before offering a seat.
