After 12th, there are many course options available with good scope. You must choose the one which interests you the most as decision will frame your career.
With interest in pharmacy field, you can :
- apply in good pharma companies as a Medical Representative. You can apply for pharmacist post in hospitals.
- start working in government department.
- do research and development work.
- work in teaching field.
After registering with the state Pharmacy Council you may set up your own pharmacy or chemists and druggists shop to stock and sell medicines and dispense them according to doctor's prescription.

PhD is a great option. Traditionally, the most preferred jobs for Ph.Ds have been industrial R&D Labs, university positions, and start-ups.
The salaries may vary to some extent depending on your work experience, your original graduation and the managerial level that you hold.
Besides teaching and research, you can also look for non-academic careers after PhD- you can probably explore higher positions in your domain (private and public sector).
If you move with the right attitude and aptitude, then definitely a doctorate degree is achievable.
