• BTech, BSc and BS applicants should fill the application form for JEE Main through the official website of the National Testing Agency. The application fee for boys and gilrs is Rs 625 and Rs 325. Read more
• MTech students should register for GATE through the official website of GATE Online Application Processing System. The application fee for boys is 1,500 and 750 for girls. Read more
• For MSc, candidates need to register for IIT JAM through the official website (iitr.ac.in). The application fee for others is INR 1,800 for other and INR 900 for female (all categories)/ SC/ ST/ PwD for one test paper. Read more

Reading Comprehension passages in CAT exam are usually inference based. The topics are usually based on Economy, Natural Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences and Current Affairs. There are several types of questions, such as:

• After the application process is over; students have to go through various selection rounds for final admission. The institute considers the merit of the candidates for MBA and PhD admission. 
• For BTech, MDes, MSc, BSc and MTech courses, JEE Advanced, IIT JAM CEED and GATE scores are considered for the selection of candidates.
• Additionally, admission to PhD and MS by Research is based on UGC NET/ CSIR NET and other national-level exam scores.
• After the exams, JoSAA, COAP and CCMN Counselling are conducted for seat allotment to BTech, M.Tech and MSc courses. To develop reading habit, one should start reading books and newspapers every day for at least one hour daily from at least six to eight months before the exam. Ideally, you should start reading books from a year before the entrance exam you are planning to appear for. We say so because, reading depends a lot on one’s interest. You need to first build interest in reading. Candidate who have to habit or interest in reading may not find it too difficult to read 100 pages every day, but those who have no interest in reading will have to develop it. So, start reading early on and read a variety of books. Start will books having easy language, once you develop interest and speed, move to books with tough English.

To prepare for Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, stick to the traditional path of concepts first and practice later. Study English grammar and Verbal Ability first to understand the concept. Then practice a number of sample questions of different kinds to gain confidence, speed and accuracy. For RC passages, develop the habit of reading from early stages.
