The National Dairy Research Institute as country's premier Dairy Research institution has developed considerable expertise over the last five decades in different areas of Dairy Production, Processing, Management and Human Resource Development.
The National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Karnal is India's premier institute for dairy research.[1] The institute was accorded the status of a Deemed University in the year 1989.
Courses Offered:
Doctorate/Ph.D Programme The Institute offers Ph.D. programmes in twelve disciplines. The programme consists of course work for two semesters followed by research work for the thesis. The course work is offered at karnal campus whereas the scholars can be allotted to different laboratories/guides located at ERS Kalyani and SRS, Bangaluru for the thesis work. All Ph.D. scholars are supported by the Institute through award of Institute Fellowship.
