Dear Anuraag,
To be honest, there is hardly any basic difference among the two as both are Bachelors level degree. The only major difference between the two is that Bachelor of Engineering (BE) is more theory and less practical. Whereas, the Bachelors of Technology (BTech) program emphasises more on practical skills with sufficient theory to develop in them the power of systematic thinking and reasoning, practical approach and exposition and also to understand the principles involved in the application.
Thus some institutes in India offer a BE degree while others offer B.Tech.
Hope this helps
Thanks
All the Best!
