Getting admission to B.Tech. Computer Science course is generally through an entrance exam which is conducted either by a recognised board like CBSE or State level exams which are conducted by State-sponsored universities. There are various entrance exams in India to get into B.Tech. Computer Science course. Some of these entrance tests are held at national level and include a tough competition like JEE exam for IITs and NITs. JEE or Joint Entrance Examination is conducted in the month of April with the guidelines of MHRD for admission to government aided engineering colleges. It is divided into two stages:

Certain other universities rely upon State Level Entrance Test conducted by state boards for entry into B.Tech. Computer Science. These entrances and universities vary state wise across India.
