You can modify your preference if you haven't locked it. In the JAC counseling process, there are four regular counseling rounds and one spot round. The students have the option to change their preferences in each round in accordance with the rules. When the JAC releases the counseling schedule, you'll have a chance to change or revise your college and branch choices. You can save your seat preference, and if needed, you can change it until the last date. Once you are sure of your preference, you can "lock" your choice. Based on this locked choice, JAC will allot you a college and branch for the B.Tech course.

According to the directions given by JAC for choice filling, you can edit your choices within the given time limit. The JAC announce the schedule for the counseling process, which included dates for choice filling and editing preferences. You can edit your choices only within this allotted time limit. Furthermore, you can only edit your selection if it has not been locked. Once you select the "locked choice" option, you cannot make any changes later on in any round. Therefore, if you are not sure about a choice, you can "save" it instead of locking it. Once you are sure about your choice, you can "lock" within the given time limit.

Yes, there is a physical test that is conducted after the CDS written test. During SSB, fitness is tested through some physical activities. Apart from that, there is a separate medical test in which physical parameters such as height, weight, BMI, etc. Are tested. If you do not match the parameters set by the board, you will not be selected for the army through IMA or OTA, even if you have been recommended by the SSB. Therefore, you must carefully read the notification to check if you are meeting all physical fitness criteria set by the Army. Also, you must focus on your fitness during the preparation phase.

Also, your age must be less than 24 years for IMA, AFA, and INA. This is 25 years for OTA. As long as you fulfill this criteria, you can apply for the CDS exam.

No, the NCC Certificate is not mandatory to join the IMA. The eligibility criteria of the IMA specify that you must be:
1. A graduate of a recognised university CDS entry).
2. Unmarried male candidate
3. Between the ages of 19 and 24 years, depending on the January or July batch. In the SSB stage, the NCC Certificate may give you an advantage in getting recommended. However, this Certificate is not mandatory to apply for IMA. You can either join IMA through an NDA or CDS exam. After passing the 12th grade, you can apply to the NDA and after a three-year training programme, you will join the IMA.

The minimum age requirement to join the IMA is 19 years old via the NCC. There is no NCC Special Entry for IMA, but approximately 25 seats are reserved for NCC C Certificate holders. This applies to the January and July terms, I. e. , the total of 50 seats. For this, you have to appear in the CDS exam like other applicants. The age and other criteria are the same for NCC-C Certificate holders as for general candidates. This means you must be between the ages of 19 and 24. Also, you must have graduated from a recognised university.
