###The eligibility criteria for PhD varies for every institute. However the basic requirement is a Masters degree or an equivalent degree in the relevant discipline.
Some of the institutes conduct entrance exams and some of them require at least two Research Publications for the PhD programs. Some also require work experience of a couple of years.
###Duration:- 2 to 3 year depends on Thesis

This year job prospect in IT sector is very bleak and MNC companies are visiting only the top colleges for campus. The small IT companies are offering as low as Rs. 7,000 to 8000 during training period and asking for bond of Rs. 50,000/- In this kind of scenario, the best thing is not to get desperate and concentrate in your final semester & project. After final semester, you may go to cities like Bangalore, Pune, Indore, Chennai, Hyderabad or Gurgaon where off-campuses and walk-in interviews are conducted almost on all Sundays. You may go for these but remember, you will have to prepare aptitude, logical reasoning and show skill in JAVA or DotNet or PHP during the interview. So prepare them during next 3 months. Beside, you may apply to Indian Air Force, Army and Navy through CDS (Combined Defense Services), PSU and government sector jobs.
