WHy dont you explore Infrastructure Management courses. There are companies like L & T, Sunil HiTech, NCC wanting managerial talent. BTech candiate is best suited for this.

See buddy the rank between 15,000 to 20,000 is not good. If you rank is below 10,000 You can have a good hope as the selection of candidate depends on the availability of seats during counseling. if you are lucky enough then you can get a good course as well as a good college
My personal suggestion while taking admission is :-
1. Don't get flattered by seeing the infrastructure of a college.
2. Before selecting a college have enough knowledge about the college.
3. If possible contact a friend who studied/studding in that college.
