The constitutional provision to provide 10 per cent reservation in government jobs and education to economically backward section in the general category has already come into force. As a minimum criterion of eligibility, aspiring candidates need to have completed graduation in Science (B.Sc) stream from a recognized university with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects, and with a minimum aggregate score of 45%. I think you can apply for the same but just confirm from the college authorities about the same before applying because you have completed B.Sc in Botany which is also comes under Biology.
