There is no difference even both are part of admission process.You have to appear for Clat or CET exam if you want to pursue BALLB from law college and have to present 12th pass certificate for the eligibility.

Genetic Engineering (B.Tech in Genetics) must not be confused with Genetics course offered by various universities at the B.Sc/M.Sc level (B.Sc. in Genetics). The genetics course is pure sciences based and involves the study of pure genetics and not genetic engineering methods and techniques.
