a) The eligibility for joining merchant navy is finishing class 12 with physics, chemistry and mathematics.
b) Candidates have to be unmarried Indian citizens (male or female).
c) Normal vision is required but glasses up to plus or minus 2.5 may be allowed.
d) Admission is through an entrance followed by a screening test and a main written examination.
e) After clearing the test, there is an interview and a medical test. You also need to complete a ship-training course prior to the employment. The course is generally short-term where the candidates are taught basic security concerns of voyaging.

The eligibility for JEE is 60% in PCM with passing marks in English so you will not be able to secure any seat in engineering college.
According to the official notification of MHRD, JEE aspirants, who wish to qualify in JEE Exam from 2017 onwards, will have to secure at least 75 per cent marks or they will need to be in the top 20 percentile in 12th class examination conducted by their respective boards.

You need to book your slot for VIT entrance examination. In slot booking, you need to select your examination centre. This is done on a First come first serve basis. If you fail to book the slot, the college will assign a slot based on their own discretion, which cannot be changed. Once you have successfully selected the slot, within the next 24 - 36 hours, you will be able to download the admit card from the VIT website.
