Admission to B.A. Journalism programme starts after the results for the 10+2 examination are declared. Ideally the process begins in the month of May when various institutes invite application from prospective students. Students whose 10+2 results have been declared or who are awaiting their results can fill the application forms for the course. The admission process is best described through the figure given below:

After the submission of the application form, students are called for a written test. Written Test might be of Objective and/or Subjective type. Objective paper may contain questions from General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Popular Media, English Language, Case Studies etc. Written Test may be followed by a Personal Interview on the basis of marks scored in the written test and percentage secured in the 10+2 examination. Most universities in Germany will require an IELTS score for application purposes. You can take a German language proficiency test however most Masters programs are taught in English language. You may check the language of instruction on university websites and decide further. GATE scores are accepted by German universities but not mandatory. The application procedure is mainly processed by a common application portal called university-ASSIST. You should visit the university-ASSIST website for relevant information. DAAD website is also a repository of information, DAAD also offers scholarships to bright students to study in Germany. In addition to these you must have had a very strong academic background, projects, recommendation letters and personal statement. Publications and papers are a plus point.

Basic eligibility to pursue B.Sc in Hotel Management and Catering Science from Heritage Institute of Hotel & Tourism is that interested candidates have to qualify in the entrance exam conducted by the institute. Candidate must also have passed 10+2 from a recognized board.
Admission Process:
Shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion based on the marks obtained in Heritage Institute of Hotel and Tourism Entrance Test (HIHT ET) conducted by the college.
