As per my understanding of your query, I can say that if you wish to go for a career in areas such as in programming, networking, application packages etc. then you can switch over.
Both the fields have their own benefits. One of the best approaches while deciding on your subjects/ stream is to opt for or look at doing something that you are good at and would enjoy keeping in mind your strengths.
