Your are in big dilemma.First of all i would say opt for engineering as its a professional course and you will get good job opportunities after doing this.
After doing B.Tech you can move to pursue M.Tech in the similar stream.
But f you are interested in doing M.Design in IT then it is also advisable to purse B.SC Design.
If you want to know where to take admission, the best top universities of India are Lovely Professional University, Pune university, GNDU amritsar, IP university.

Hello Aman,
Obviousl, you should go for the same branch you have done in B.tech. I mean Mechanical Engineering. Do not
think others specialization.
Remember, every specialization has its own value, demand and future. Few give better scope of placement
because of its higher application and demand. I tried to give a preference based on opinion collected from IITians in
related departments.
M.Tech specializations in Mechanical Engineering and their order of preference
1. Thermal Engineering
2. Computer Integrated Manufacturing
3. Automobile Engineering
4. Manufacturing Engineering
5. Material Technology
6. Industrial Engineering
7. Product Design
...more
