Well, not really. Dissection is not directly included in the BTech Biomedical Engineering coursework that focuses more on the applications of engineering fundamentals to the field of biology and medicine. There are detailed courses on anatomy and physiology, medical imaging, and biomaterials where you understand the structure of the human body, but dissection, in particular, is not a mandatory component.

The college ranking plays a very important role when it comes to studying the BTech BME course. As a good college ranking is synonymous with good coursework, infrastructure, student exposure, and placements. Having said that, it is also important to check the course fees, teaching faculty, and alumni feedback before taking the final call for admission.

Since the college years are crucial for the overall development of an individual, it is better to research well and only then decide which college would serve you in the best possible manner.

Yes, of course. New subjects are included in the BTech Biomedical Engineering syllabus on the basis of technological innovations in the healthcare sector for students to stay updated with the market demands and keep upskilling themselves with the theoretical understanding and advanced technical know-how.

While the core subject modules remain an important part of the syllabus, the professional electives are generally updated every year to keep pace with the evolving healthcare landscape.
