IIT Varanasi accepts JEE Advanced scores to allow admission to BTech, BArch and other courses, . Recently. IIT Varanasi Cutoff 2025 for the Round 1 seat allotment results has been released by the institute, based on candidates' performance in JEE Advanced. As per the Round 1 cutoff data, the closing cutoff for various courses ranged between 1838 and 19019. The toughest course out of all was BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, with the last-round closing rank of 1838, for the General AI category candidates. The least competitive course was BArch for the General AI category. Therefore, it s possible to get into IIT Varanasi with JEE Advanced arank of 7000. The JEE Advanced Counselling 2024 was conducted in six rounds for admission to the BTech and other UG courses. The JEE Advanced Counselling Process includes steps like registration, choice filling, and paying the counselling fee. Candidates will then be called for document verification, where their eligibility and documents are verified. Based on their ranks, candidates are allotted seats in their preferred colleges and courses. So, it is expected that the JEE Advanced Counselling 2025 will be conducted till 6 rounds of seat allotment. Candidates who are allotted seats in each round of JoSAA 2025 Counselling will be required to choose the options from Freeze, Float or Slide.

Through JEE Advanced ranks, candidates can secure admission to BTech courses. With regards to the admission, the IIT Roorkee cutoff 2025 has been released for the first round by the institute. The cutoff was released for different categories under the All India quota. For the General AI category candidates, the cutoff ranks varied between 535 and 16596, for different BTech/Integerated BTech/BSc/BArch courses. Among the OBC category candidates, the cutoff ranks varied between 244 and 6237. For the SC AI category candidates, the ranks varied between 121 and 3181. SASTRA University enrolls students into CSE B.Tech courses under two streams hence having a single rank is not easy to mention. They have an internal ranking in their admission that has various criteria:

Flow 1 (50 percent seats): JEE Main Marks (50 percent ) + Class 12 Marks (50 percent )

In the case of CSE, a very high percentile in JEE Main (usually 97-98% or above), and outstanding Class 12 results (e.g. 90%+) are normally required. Stream 1 cut-offs in the past years have been around the 600-800 all India rank of SASTRA.

Stream 2 (50 percent Seats): Class 12 Marks Only (100 percent)

In the case of CSE in this category, the Class 12 marks have to be very high, i.e., it has to be 95 percent and above. The internal SASTRA ranking of CSE here is naturally not expected to be above 500.

CSE is very competitive at SASTRA thus the cutils are always on a high. They vary on an annual basis. You have had to have completed Class 12 with Physics and Maths being the compulsory subjects and gone with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Computer Science/Biology and the score should at least be 60 percent in aggregate.

In a clear picture, one can always go to the official site of SASTRA during the admissions and get the latest brochure and past year cut offs which are their internally generated ranks. One is advised to apply both streams in case he or she qualifies.
