There are institutes several Institutes providing Diploma courses in culinary arts which you can check with: AE & C.S. Maruti College of Hotel Management, Army Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Garden City College of Science and Management Studies, INDUS, Presidency College of Hotel Management. You can even try with IHM & FCI (if FCI has a branch in Bangalore that you need to check) or check with popular Hotels like Taj, Welcomegroup, Oberoi etc. they do provide such short term trainings
I would like to add here that if you are really interested to get into this field you can also opt for one of the best Institute in Culinary Arts which is located in Hyderabad i.e Culinary Academy of India.

The candidates with following academic background are eligible to appear in GATE 2011 Examination:
Bachelor's degree holders Engineering/ Technology/Architecture/Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.
Master degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.
Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master's degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology or in the third or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master's degree programme and Dual Degree programme in Engineering/Technology.
