Both are amazing fields.
For someone who loves computers and programming, computer science will be better. If you like applying logic and solving puzzles, you would enjoy computer science.
However, if you love machines, and enjoy making something physical using your creativity, you would enjoy Mechanical engineering. Mechanical Engineering is a hardcore engineering field.
There are ample opportunities in both. You must sit and think what would you love to do in future - Make software or work with machines.

There aren't much difference in these courses but Now days Many MNC are preferring B.Tech in CS more in comparison of B.Tech IT.
Also there is another factor which will help you to choose one of them is that in which institute or college you will study these courses. It's better to choose that college which offer more placement opportunities. If you got these courses in same institute or college than it's better to choose B.Tech in CS
Best of Luck :)
