Most of the lecturers didn't have good knowledge of English at all, their rude behavior is the second reason, they didn't want to explain in English, even though the lectures were supposed to be in English. I don't recommend the university because the base is in really bad condition, they don't have the equipment for projecting presentations, etc. The university services were somehow 50/50. If I had something to be done by the ISMA administration, I had to practically beg my coordinator (who is at an administrative position at the university) to help me and do her job. I recommend in because a small number of professors who knew English and who wanted to teach us something, actually taught us a lot and the lectures were really helpful. The dormitories of the university were in critical condition and are really far away but there are two students dormitories near ISMA in which you can also stay, so the dorms were not a problem for me.

The only way you can truly understand and master the electronics and communication field is through practical work. Basics of electronics should be clear (first couple year's curriculum). I guarantee you'll face difficulties later on if you're not clear with basics. Start working on the latest techs of the field as soon as you can. With the pace that the technology is advancing, it is highly probable that you'll be taught something that has been replaced half a decade ago. (I was studying analog TV). To know what techs to choose, contact your final year seniors and alumni. Pick a faculty or two and make their professional life a nightmare. Ask for help on projects, career advice, doubts and everything you need help on. He/she won't mind it if he/she is really interested in mentoring students, which they will be (ideally). ECE is a field where the job possibilities are really uncertain. Make sure you have a targeted approach through your 4 years and stand out in at least one of the fields, be it VLSI design/Embedded/Communication. Whatever you find yourself interested in, pursue it with all your heart. Personal Advice: If you're really passionate about your field by the time you appear for placements, DO NOT opt out and join IT firms. Things will work out later, if not sooner.
