Given below are some basic criteria one has to fulfil so as to get admission in Anna University. The basic eligibility criteria for both the courses is that one needs to have passed HSC Examination or equivalent from any recognised education board. Admission to both the courses are made through entrance test. There are separate entrance tests for the courses. The selection of candidates for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission TNEA 2018 will be based on the marks obtained in the prescribed subjects reduced to 200 (Mathematics 100, Physics + Chemistry 100 in the qualifying examination). Clearing the minimum cut-off in Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission TNEA exam. You should visit the college website regularly so as to get regular updates of the exam as registration for test starts from 1st May 2019.

CMAT is common management admission test. It is conducted by the AICTE. It is computer based test of duration 180 minutes. Total question: 100
Total marks: 400 marks
It consist of 4 sections
CAT EXAM-Common admission test

MAT Exam: management aptitude test

CMAT has an easier approach than CAT. CMAT offers good opportunity for all those who remain dissatisfied with their CAT 2016 or XAT results as CMAT on January will give a chance to improve their scores and get admission call from leading B schools. CMAT scores will be accepted by more than 400 management institutes. You could get admission to any of the top rated B school, if you are able to score high in CMAT.

The mathematics that a more experienced programmer WILL NEED in the workplace is covered in computer Science courses. The mathematics that a computer scientist WILL require and a programmer MIGHT need are included in the subject of mathematics and computing. You mention that you want to work in the software development industry, therefore computer Science would be the best option for you (in my opinion), since I am a firm believer that you can learn what you need as and when it is needed (something you will already have to do). It is a waste of time (again in my opinion) to devote some of your college time to academics to studying something you might need. However, a very small percentage of people choose Maths and computing.
