Hello Varun,
The cut-off for any NIT varies from year to year, also from branch to branch and also from category to category. There is a wide difference in numbers for general, OBC, SC/ ST and other reserved categories. If you just google you will find plenty of sites that will give you this information for the year 2017 and before and then you can see for yourself how it has varied across branches or even in the same branch across years in NIT Trichy. Follow the advice mentioned below to clear NEET:
1. Make a time-table and follow strictly
2. Start from a scratch with NCERT books then refer other important books.
3. Revision and practice. You need to revise the covered syllabus and practice them.
4. Make notes of every topic but you have a less time so you can prepare notes of important topics.
5. Practice last year question papers and mock test.

Hi, there is no as such specific branch or faculty which needed to study prior to preparation of UPSC. UPSC has no connection with branch of engineering. But if you ask for government exam then EEE, ECE, MEC are best. You can get job in DRDO, DRDL, and ISRO. CSE and IT don't have good scope in government jobs.
