The last date of the application form for engineering colleges in India varies from institution to institution. In India, we have engineering colleges (Both government and private). You can get admission in a government college after appearing for an entrance exam. There are many private colleges also takes admission under management quota, if you are not qualified through entrance exam.
We also have many private/ deemed universities, which conducts their own entrance exams. In general, August month should be the deadline for admission to pursue B.Tech.
I hope it helps.

Hi,
There are certain essential differences between CAT and GMAT.
1. Quants section of CAT is tougher than GMAT. In CAT you can afford to skip questions, but in GMAT. You cannot do that.
2. If you don't do well in CAT then next year you can take CAT again. If you don't do well in GMAT. You can retake GMAT after few months. Speed and accuracy is essence of both.
3. CAT cost: Rs.2000 approximately for per-form.
4. GMAT. Rs.16k approximately for per appearance. I hope this helps.
