1. To pursue M.Tech, you have to crack GATE exam in one of the subject.
2. For MBA, you have to crack CAT, MAT, XAT, etc.
If you have great command in technical field, then you must opt for M.Tech. The fees is much higher in MBA in comparison with M.Tech.

The cut-off is 70 percentile and above but let me tell you that getting selected will depend upon a variety of factors other than your score in MAT or CMAT.

Yes, there is a quota for defence dependants as well.
However, in that quota, ex servicemen are preffered over the serving defence personnal.There will be 2 lists for you in that case.One would be the general overall list and the other would be defence category list.Do well for GD/PI.
