It's very nice to know that your desire is still alive to pursue graduation. Yes, fire engineering is a good option. Work experience is an added advantage for you. Every state conducts entrance test for lateral entry in second year of engineering for diploma holders. Please do appear for similar exam in your state to achieve your dreams.

There are perpetual good branches of civil, mechanical and electrical. You can select any one of these. It however depends on your score in entrance exam. Better the score, better your chances of getting desired branch. With plenty of seats lying vacant, if your wish is an engineering degree then you don't have to worry.

But while you are learning try a few paper trades. Don't use your money yet.
Sit with your broker. See how the trades happen and learn the various techniques such as Stop-loss , BEST, etc. Talk to people who come. There is a good chance you might learn from others mistakes.
Educate yourself with all the available knowledge post market hours. Understand the business of the company whose share you are going to trade. Read the balance sheet, PNL, etc.
There are tons of resources available outside for free. None of these exams are going to teach you to trace or understand the stock market in a better way than br
