Before starting career in software industry i would like to ask u r u very much confidant on any of the programming language.
Can u independently handle any language?
If ur ans comes YES then only think for software development line or testing line.
Every line is good only depends upon u how much depth knowledge u have. As far as salary is concerned It depends upon u how tactfully and technically u have cleared ur interview not upon the degree or certificate u have with u.
U can choose embedded system line as well for this u must have sound knowledge of C, C+ and JAVA (complete).

First of all it depends on your own interest that with which branch you feel more comfortable with and now i'll let you know about the scopes of different branches.
See mechanical and electrical are evergreen branches.Their scope is also vast.
Nowadays Computer industry is at its top and still growing faster because todays era is technology era
civil in beginning needs a lot of field work
aeronautics does not have that much scope in India for the scope of aeronautics you may try abroad
and rest chemical, automobile they depend on your interest. If you are interested then they can also be a good career option.
