Ranchi University is a State teaching-cum-affiliating university located in Ranchi. The university now spans in five districts of Jharkhand, namely- Ranchi, Gumla, Khunti, Simdega, and Lohardaga. Ranchi University offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate & Ph.D. level programs along with vocational courses in various specializations. The selection for the same is based on the merits obtained by the students in the qualifying exams.

1. BHU, Varanasi
There is a national entrance test. For M.Sc. There are subject-wise tests. You probably need to be among the national top 50 to actually get in. (I had rank 12. )
If you're accepted then the procedure is quite straight forward. You simply need to go there, submit your certificates and marksheets, done.
2. MSU, Baroda
There is a national entrance test followed by an interview (for those who fulfil a certain minimum cut-off as decided by the university). Getting into MSU won't be as tough as getting into BHU though. Admission procedure is similar, nothing specifically different. St. Xaviers College, Mumbai

You can prepare for JAM exam by yourself also. IIT JAM Exam is tough but if you prepare well, then you can easily crack the exam. Check all the details regarding IIT JAM Exam here: https://goo.gl/fNdqWo IIT JAM 2019 Exam will be conducted in the month of February 2019. So, you have enough time left for the preparation. Start your preparation 7-8 months before the exam. This will give you enough time for the revision. Check the complete syllabus and exam pattern. Refer best books and study materials for your preparation. Solve previous year question papers and take online mock tests. This will give you an idea about the pattern and difficulty level of the questions. Make notes of all the important stuff. This will help you in your last minute preparation. Study at least 6-7 hours daily. Give your last 30-45 ins to the revision daily.
