Barkatullah University Institute of Technology normally declares semester exam results in the interval of 45 to 60 days after completion of exams. The results get posted on the official university site and may be accessed by putting in roll numbers. Although the timetable can also be specified a bit differently in case of some administrative procedures or other unpredictable delays, this is the plan that the university, on the whole, sticks to assure students that they can arrange their further studies on time.

BUIT's faculty is well-qualified (many PhDs/Master's) and known for being approachable and supportive, especially in IT/CSE branches. However, students in some departments report an uneven experience—with guest lecturers filling core roles and occasional teaching gaps. Overall, teaching quality is solid, but varies by department.

There is direct admission to the BUIT in case there are any left over seats provided that the JEE Main and MP PET counselling can bring no candidates, and the candidates are looked in to on the basis of 10+2 marks. In BE case, one needs to enrol to DTE Bhopal, take part in counselling and in case some seats remain vacant there is a chance to have admission based on qualification exam merit. The admission is based on the JEE/MP PET rank, and direct quota is only possible under seat-filling circumstances.

Admission to BUIT for B.E./B.Tech requires a valid JEE Main score (or Class 12 marks for some seats) and 45–50% in PCM. Register for MP DTE online counselling (May 27–June 20), lock choices, attend seat allotment, complete document verification, pay fees, and report to campus by early July.
