I hope you have gone through the IIFM brochure to know everything about the course. If not, that is where you would like to start. As you know this is a sectoral program you should be really interested in IIFM's mandate in order to justice to both yourself and the course. Once you are sure that you want a career in this field, you should seriously start preparing for CAT. Even though the official cut offs are 80 percentile, it will be tough to get into the first merit list with scores below 88-94 percentile. Aim to get above 90 percentile in CAT. Also, start reading magazines such as Yozana, Kurukshetra, Down to Earth and be abreast of current affairs w.r.t. environment. Be true to yourself and IIFM will see that you are in. It is a fantastic institute but only for the ones whose career goals are aligned to our sector. I hope this helps.

Haritha, If you're creative, you can always consider going for Design and Animation. This is a field where nobody cares for your qualification, they only see if you can do quality work. In fact, the University Model has not succeeded in any Skill field across the world. A good mentor and wise selection of courses with a good school, followed by diligent learning, would get you a head start in your career. However, you must check your suitability for this field. Animation is an art form and a very demanding career. It has ample opportunities for the creatively talented people. Opportunities lie in UI Design, Graphic Design, Storyboarding, Animation Design, Game Design, 3D Modelling, Texturing and Lighting, Dynamics and VFX and of course animation (2D and 3D). Of course at the top of the pile lies Concept Designing - these people are required by Event Companies, Animation Studios, VFX Studios, and of course Game Studios. However, choosing between these must be done after seeing your performance in each of these. So going for a generic course covering all or most of these would be the best way to get started in these careers. Typically you should have good sketching skills to be able to make a sound career in this (if you work hard you can improve your drawing skills tremendously). Actuarial science is course that concentrates on the mathematical and statistical analysis of risk, and their applications to insurance and other business management problems.
Any one above 18 years of age with proficiency in mathematics and statistics can take up the course and become an Actuary. The candidate must pass 10+2 or equivalent. Post Graduate Course:-

PG Diploma in Certified Risk and Insurance management

Eligibility: Candidates who wish to go for PG courses should have Bachelor's degree.
Admission will be on the basis of the merit scored in the institute's entrance exam. Actuarial Science Entrance Exam Admission IGNOU and Institute of Actuaries of India - May Examination are some of the entrance exams.

Most of the colleges admit students based on their 12th percentage and each college have there own cut off . Some colleges even conduct entrance test .
Direct admission is possible through management quota and for that , you need to get in touch with the college.
