Ethical hacking is indeed good career option, to anyone who has the zeal towards it. Everything about IT is evolving and competitive. The Whole IT industry evolves every 5 years approx., New language/new approach /new framework/new concepts/new gadgets etc., etc.,
It is a good paying industry, that too the current trend shows the growth in the need of security professionals across the globe, because people have started realizing the importance of cyber threats and importance of information security, and this will keep more evolving too.
Future proof is subjective, because this industry keeps evolving one should be able to follow up and keep up with it, the current threats would have been evolved into different threats in future,

Most colleges have a different provision for admission and pre-requisites. You need to contact the institute officials personally for specific admission details and type of course (bachelors / masters / fast track / short term / long term/ regular / correspondence etc.) as it differs from college to college and course to course.
