It actually depends on your rank and that year's result. The donation fee may also vary with demand and supply for each year. For computers and IT, it will be slightly higher than the other branches. Anyone cannot actually predict its exact amount as it totally depends on the people and demand for the seat. The general rule is, better your rank is, lesser you will pay as donation. Your fees varies in general from 3 to 7 lacs depending upon the branch you want. Remember that your tuition and hostel fees will be extra than this.
Therefore, if you are thinking of taking admission in VIT, then yes, you can take the admission but wait for th

Hello Salon, It's Indeed very heartening to know that you are interested in pursuing your education after completion of your Diploma and are interested in doing your graduation in engineering. Hello Salon,Central Government institutes like IIT or NIT or CFTI, normally do not give admission in lateral mode for Diploma holders of Engineering. However, IIT's do accept Diploma as equivalent to class 12th examination and allow students to seek admission in the first year of four year degree course after following due process. But, you can always seek admission in the colleges sponsored by the state governments or even private colleges aided by State governments which do accept lateral admission in all the states. Best wishes to you.
