Hi Sarthak,
Coming from a biotechnology background will help since MBA programs are open to students from all discipline so they look for diversity but holding a Bachelor degree in any discipline to pursue your MBA is mandatory so it won't make a difference unless you have very high grades and an extraordinary profile. Remember that most MBA programs including the top ranked ones require work experience, GMAT scores and solid career goals/MBA essays based on which admissions will be given.

Not necessarily, but if you are from schools like BITS Pilani or IITs, preference will be higher but there is no hard and fast rule as such. As long as you are a very highly academic student and have solid work experience, it does not matter where you do from Bachelors.

Definitely B.Tech is better than B.Sc because it has good scope than B.Sc, if you go for B.Sc you'll get low salary and you can go for research but if you go for B.Tech, you can go for anything you need and you'll get a good salary.
choose wisely.

I assume that you didn't opt for science stream in 10+2. If you did not have Maths, Physics and Chemistry in 10+2 then you may not meet the eligibility criteria in a majority of Indian and international universities for B.Tech in Petroleum Engineering.

Try and do B.Com (Hons) from a regular DU college. If you are not able to get into a regular college, go for School of open learning. Also, do a full time 3 year course along with it. This course could be a vocational / professional course in the area of your interest. Also, do not go for a 'computer course' unless it fits into your career goals. I would suggest a course that brings you knowledge of your dream industry. Like, I joined TKWsIBF along with B.Com (Hons) as I had interest in banking and finance. I am both a DU graduate and work in a bank through my advanced Diploma in banking and finance. Bottom line, B.Com (Hons) is a must

There are a lot of jobs. Research scholar cum faculty is one of the best job for a person not much interested in engineering but choices do differ. even the Indian Defence takes in a good lot of PCM students not as an engineer. A statistics expert, data analyst, material scientist, physicist are high end jobs today.
