1. Candidates must hold a Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification of any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislatures in India or other educational institutions established by an act of parliament.
2. Candidates of B.Sc / BA honours must have minimum 55% marks in average in their honours subject.

But before you opt for another branch, keep an eye on various subjects and your interests upon the subject. It's your future and your own life. So, you should be aware of your interests and take a branch according to your interest. Talking about your preparation which you did in these 3 years, it doesn't mean the struggle you had is useless. As far as my knowledge goes about my college, it is only for Diploma holders. Though there is a way to get into the main campus if you have studied the first year in any other Manipal University college.
