Fashion Design deals with fabrics and what you can do with fabrics. You use fashion accessories for styling your garments but your main material of use is fabric. A lifestyle accessory designer however deals with all kind of materials ranging from paper to wood, metal, gems, leather, fabric, plastics, rubber and so on. The range of products that they can get into is huge. Accessory design is actually a subset of product design and hence is very different from fashion. As to which is better is difficult to say. Both have huge scope. Choice will actually depend on your temperament and aptitude. Sometimes you are not sure however. That's why at would we allow you to switch between courses after your foundation year.

You can apply for M.Des in Fashion Design, Students coming from any 10+2 or graduation discipline from a recognised university, or board with a minimum aggregate of 50%, can appear for any entrance or admission process or any design course.
