Graduation project is a very important part of your studies at would. This is the time when you bring together all your learning into an actual real life problem solving. You can do it with or without an industry sponsor. In case of a industry sponsor, the industry provides the problem and you work on their shop floor under their mentorship. All graduation projects are evaluated and grade awarded. Graduation Project is not internship, which is done after the end of third year. It is not placement either. However, if your industry sponsor like your work, they may make you an offer.

You don't need a certificate in spoken Hindi. For other languages you might need to have a certificate. Also, if you are pursuing Journalism in a non-Hindi speaking state then you don't need to worry about Hindi at all.
