IDC at IIT Mumbai has these options to do masters for you: GD Arts (5 year professional course after 10th) - Candidates having 5-year GD Art Degree / Diploma after 10th standard need to have either completed 12th standard examination or have additional one year of professional experience with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grades (50% in case of SC/ST). Even NID offers some PG Programmes though it doesn't offer MFA.

Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) 2011 – Syllabus & Pattern
The Preliminary Examination shall now comprise of two compulsory Papers of 200 marks each and of two hours duration each. Detailed below is the new syllabus and pattern of the Preliminary Examination, which is brought to the notice of the prospective candidates intending to appear at the Civil Services Examination (CSE) in 2011 onwards:

History of India and Indian National Movement• Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic geography of India and the World.• Indian Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.• Economic and Social Development – Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, etc.• General issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change - that do not require subject specialization• General Science

ADMISSION PROCESS
A three stage process is followed for admission to the Ph.D. Programme.
Stage I: The Expert Panel Members of the Institute will screen the applications together
with necessary enclosures and short-list the candidates based on the below listed criteria:
? Academic Eligibility

? Quality of Synopsis
? Relevance of the Topic
Stage II: Only Short-listed candidates will be called for the Written Entrance Test,
comprising of:
One hour Objective Test (on Logical Reasoning and Mathematics (12
th Standard)) and
One hour Descriptive Test (on Research Aptitude) to judge writing skill of
candidates on contemporary issues
Stage III: Candidates who would qualify in Entrance test will subsequently appear for a
presentation cum viva before the Expert Panel Members at the Institute in New Delhi for
defending of the research proposal / Synopsis submitted by them
