Hi Sachin,
To apply for a student visa, you must apply to a university and receive the admission offer. Without the admission offer, you cannot apply for a student visa. You should prepare for the IELTS or TOEFL and SAT or ACT, wherever applicable and start applying.

According to me, it is a short time big advantage course for you. There are as good as many streams in VFX and multimedia:
1. Mastering in visual effects and animation
2. Mastering in mixing artist
3. Mastering in premiere pro, etc.
So, if you want to join VFX specialization or any of it then it would be better for you. I hope, there are many good institutes in Kolkata. According to me, you can join MAAC or Arena Animation. There are also others like REBUS, Hi-Tech, Big AIMS, etc.
I hope you will understand.
Thank you.
