JIMS college culture is very healthy. You don't need to worry about that. Yes, college provide you 'n' number of internship opportunities. Some of the companies do provide PPOs too if your work in internship liked by them.

VJTI admissions are not based on JEE Mains but are based on MHT CET conducted by Maharashtra Government. I hope you have applied for it. Process is open at the moment.
However, if you appear for both then you can seek admission to NITs or IITs.
