Hello Ankur, The life of a budding engineer is very tough. Unlike medical profession where there is only single exam called NEET, which is the only exam one has to apply for going into any medical college in India. For engineering, a student has to appear for many exams for admission to different colleges. Firstly, it begins with the entrance exam that is being conducted by each state for admission to the engineering colleges in that state. Presently only Tamil Nadu is the exception which gives admission based on the marks obtained in class 12th. Then comes the biggest exam called JEE Mains for getting admission into different NIT's across India. For getting admission into IIT's one has to appear for JEE Advanced. Over and above this student has to appear for entrance exam conducted by different reputed deemed universities like BITS Pilani or Manipal or SRM et cetera.
