NIT Warangal was given a ranking of 21st by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2024 out of all the engineering institutes in India. In 2023 and 2022, the institute was ranked the same, however, at that time it had moved up two spots from the 23rd position in the "Engineering" category of the NIRF 2021.
